Windshield replacement shop, trim question...?
So I have gone thru 2 windshields, 2 separate vehicles though. I went to different shops for each, and they both forgot to put the top piece of my windshield trim, weatherstrip, molding whatever you wanna call it. Are they supposed to leave it off because they ruined it? Or are they supposed to reuse the old one? If it does get ruined by taking it off, then where can I get a new one? There is a gap between the glass and the body and I really don't want it starting to rust on the top of my roof. Thanks for any suggestions...
BTW my vehicle is a 2009 Ford Fusion
I did have an upper molding before I bought the car
The 2009 Fusion does not have an upper windshield mldg. There are side and lower mldgs but no upper. As long as there is no exposed metal from the replacements you car will not rust. There are actually quite a few cars that do not have upper mldgs anymore.
