i live in a rental, an older 'trailer house' with metal siding. one of the aluminum frame windows got broken, and i need to replace it. the opening is 46 1/2" x 58 3/4" on the inside & the guy at the window place said i needed a 4' x 5' window... is that right? also, is $119 for a window a good price?
also, i need some tips on getting the old window out & installing the new one. what tools would i need? is there a certain type of screw for the metal siding? how do i seal it? what's the best way to level it? what problems might i encounter? any other tips??

for 119.00 dollars they should come to you and replace it and clean up the mess.
You can go to home depot and buy a piece of clear plexi glass and have them cut it to that size. it may cost ya about 50 dollars for that size. Then just bust out all the broken glass from the frame and use a screw driver to get the hard to get pieces. I would wear safety goggles too!! Then put the plexi glass in the window and run a beed of silicone around the window and that will hold it in place. Use duct tape to help hold in place if needed. good luck!
