Any and all ideas on wow to seal cracks in a Window AC accordion sash?
I have a Window AC unit in my apt that I rent that has multiple cracks and breaks in the accordion sash and around the foil covering the outer edges.
I have put up with finding all kinds of bug in my bed (not while I was sleeping there), but the last straw is being startled out of sleep by a spider crawling down my arm and pulling back the covers to see a squished bug in my bed and a squished spider on my arm!
I can't take out the AC unit since that is the only AC I have, but am tired of sleeping in my living room. I will take any reasonable suggestion on how I can fix it as long as it won't kill me! Thanks.
You might try "Great Stuff", it's a spray on foam insulation sealant, you can find it at your local hardware store for 3 or 4 bucks.
