I'm asking on behalf of someone. They have a small Haier window AC installed and every Spring through Fall, they have a decent problem with Moths and Gnats coming through the AC. Where the cold air comes out. I thought they were coming from a gap somewhere around the unit. But I watched and sure enough, every once in a while a Moth will coming shooting out. How can we stop this? I've read where putting a screen door fabric over the outside vents and secure it with a long rubber band will keep the bugs out. Would this in fact work? Is it safe to cover up the outside vents with anything like that? What all could I do to fix this problem? Thank you.
