Valve cover job on 2000 maxima?
I am gonna change my front and rear valve cover gaskets as well as grommets and spark plug tube seals on my 2000 max se and I know it requires removal of the upper intake gaskets for the rear so I know it would be smart to change that upper intake gasket. My question is while I have everything off what other gaskets should I go ahead and replace that I would be near or have to take off while replacing the valve cover gaskets.?
Because you have the coils out a new set of NGK Platinium Spark Plugs also where the egr pipe enters the intake may be plugged with carbon get at least one egr gasket two if you remove the EGR intake pipe for cleaning or replace the EGR Guide Tube (nissan name) PVC valve and there is between the valve covers a cross over rubber tube also the short hose to the pvc valve. Those rubber hoses crack when removed Be very careful moving the wiring harness. Grommets under the bolts some time can be reused. Good Luck
