is the emission system on a 1988 toyota 4runner esential or can they be removed?
I am having trouble obtaining parts and just want to get my truck up and running. The egr vacuum modulator has a broken connection. I am also getting a little tired of replacing vacuum hoses. If I can just rip out the emission system it would be great plus it would get rid of a lot of clutter in the engine room.
is your 4rnr a V6 3.0L engine,or a 22RE 2.4L.?if its a 22RE there are lots of aftermarket conversions for your engine.for example webber makes a carb and intake combo ,that will get rid of all that clutter. also check out holley they have some stuff that'l bolt on w/adapters to your 22RE motor.also headers that dont have that annoying tube that runs aroun your moter to join with that egr...look in mini truckin mag for some ideas and sources.
