I have a 2009 Toyota Corolla -- should I keep it?
I bought a brand new 2009 Toyota Corolla right off the lot a year and a half ago, but have had three recalls on it in that short time -- twice for floor mats affecting the ability to brake, and once for the brake pedal issue.
I had purchased the special rubber floor mats when I bought the car so the recall/fix of the original mats was not an issue for me personally, but I did have the work done to fix the brake pedal (at their cost, not mine, thank goodness!) just in case.
Am I foolish to keep the car because of all the issues Toyota has had? I LOVE my car and it works absolutely great, but I'm worried that something else may go wrong. Am I justified in thinking I should sell it?
If I do try to sell it, do you think I get a fair price because of all the stigma of all the recalls?
If you don't own this car, would YOU buy it after all the media attention the car has received?

People who know anything about Engines realize it's not the Engine that causes sludge.... it's the oil. But I wouldn't expect someone who can't tell the difference between a 1998 Tacoma and a 2009 Corolla to even realize that.
Listen to the guys who can't back up their claims with anything but petitions and people who can't take care of their cars.
Or listen to yourself and keep the Car that you love.
