cant decide between the 2010 legacy 3.6r limited sedan or the 2010 impreza 2.5GT sedan
need something fast in an automatic transmission and it needs to be a new subaru
choice is between these two.
what are the advantages and disadvantages of both?
which one is faster and has a faster 0-60 time?
i like the hood scoop on the impreza 2.5GT but is it any faster than the legacy 3.6r limited?

The Legacy 3.6r is a nice family sedan or a luxury car. It has a spacious interior and a nice ride. It has a smoother turbo-free flat 6 engine and has a 5 speed transmission. It burns regular unleaded gas.
The Impreza 2.5GT is more like a sports car. It is lighter and has a smaller wheelbase than the Legacy. It has more performance parts avalable. It is also a wagon. It only has a 4 speed auto transmission and burns premium gas. You'll have to check with your insurance company, but the Impreza might cost more to insure because it is a sports car.
As to which one is faster, I do not know. The Impreza has less power but is smaller and lighter. The Legacy has more power and 5 speed but it is heavier and larger.
If you are looking for a sports car, do not get an automatic. Learn how to drive a manual. Manuals allow for precision gear selection. They are ultimately faster. If you want a Subaru sports car, get the WRX. It is cheeper and faster than the Impreza 2.5GT. If you want something between a sports car and a legacy sedan, get the Legact 2.5GT.
