Stop Crack Chip

Should I be worried? (Windshield Chip)?

About 10 minutes ago, I was driving under a bridge and a (possibly) a small stone smacked onto my windscreen, it caused a little indent but i'm not sure if it's serious, only minor. I only replaced my windshield not even a week ago and it cost me $200 and I don't want to fork out $200 again. Should I be worried? I can't go right now, because i'm at TAFE. And if so, when a chip occurs on the windscreen, how long would it take for the glass to start forming a crack? I can't stop thinking about it at the moment.

Contact your auto insurance carrier to see if covered and they might cover the chip at no charge. It doesn't sound like you did this with the previous windshield damage. Phil is giving good advice. If no action is taken, at least use clear nail polish in the chip "hole".
