why does a diesel engine 18 months old 26000 miles blow out blue smoke every cold start?
my car is nearly 2 years old, 26000 miles had all the regular services but about six months ago it started to bellow out blue smoke every cold start.
Fords reckon its the egr valve which they have changed twice but it still continues to do it.
Someone else who has been a fitter for years says it could be valve guide seals.
Does anyone have a clue as to what this could be as im now getting impatiance with it all, it is still under warranty but im just getting the fob off treatment from fords.
Does anyone else have this kind of problem with a new ford diesel. Its also had a new glow plug,a new alternator.Good old fords...
Genuine answers appreciated no sarcasm please,im jussed as pi...ed of as anyone else with this kind of problem.
its a two litre tdci
I personally dont have a Ford but I would look at a couple of things. First, is it turbo charged, this could be a problem. Could also be valve guides or even piston rings. You didn't mention what size of engine you had.
