I have a 1994 GMC Jimmy 2 door. The glass went off the track on me today after I rolled my window up at the drive through. I took it apart and the window guide came apart from the controller arm. I put the guide and the arm back together and its still messed up. The front of the unit is trying to pull the weather sealing off. Is there another control arm that I dont know about? Or is something wrong with my track? I have no clue. HELP!
There should be 3 points you need to get on track. Two are on the bracket attached to the bottom of the window. The third should be tack welded to the inside of the door. I have rebuild many Chevy truck doors. They did not make it simple to put back together. Make sure your rollers are not worn or it will keep falling off. Try http://www.lmctruck.com/ or http://www.chevyduty.com for these parts if they are worn. They are much cheaper than the dealer.
