What is the difference between ceramic and tungsten metals?
I am getting my fiance a wedding band.He wants a black or almost black band he is left handed so he wants something that will not scratch and is very strong. I was looking a some rings and I know that tungsten is very strong and scratch proof. Is ceramic as resistant?
Ceramic is a generic term that covers several formulations, some stronger than tungsten metal (like tungsten carbide) and some not so strong (china, for instance, is a ceramic, and you will agree, not the strongest).
