Can I hook up two subwoofers to a mono channel amplifier?
The amp is an Alpine MRP M1000. I've got it running an Alpine type r DVC sub (4 ohm each). I want to get another type r and want to run them both off the same amp. Its a mono channel, but with 1000 watts I would think it could run both safely. Would that be a good idea? And if so, how would I go about wiring them for maximum efficiency.

Either wire them in Parallel or Series. Parallel lowers impedence, and series raises impedence.
Also yes you will have no problem running 2 subs off a mono block just remember to match RMS and impedence.
