i live in a house that was built in the 50's. The basement is semi finished and half of it is underground. there is one heat vent that is located in the basement bathroom...anyway, my two front bedrooms of my main level living quarters of my ranch are freezing. I have already sealed around windows, ect. and they are still the only cold rooms. They are the only two rooms that do not have carpet and was wondering if that had anything to do with the basement? the basement currently does not have a ceiling and the wood is exposed. should I insulate? what kind of job would this be?
Usually get it in the width the joices are apart and staple it up between them. should not be a hard job. Is the walls insulated? Ask at the store about insulation you can drill a hole between joices and blow in the wall.
