Ok, I'm restoring my girlfriend's old beetle. I have most of it done, except for painting interior parts, and finding some material V-Dub used to cover the rear pillars, side bracing and around all the back windows. It was mostly gone when I started, so all I got to see was what was left under the rubber window seals, and a little on one pillar.
The stuff looks like headliner material, except it has small pinholes every quarter inch or so, and was actually glued in place.
Look into CIP1, Wolfsburg West, Wolfgang International, Mid America is alright but a little spendy though. If you do go to CIP1 I strongly urge you to pay a little more and get something german made if possible!
When it comes to a headliner you should anticpate spending around $60-80 for it. BUT, I'd highly recommend paying someone to do it. It is not an easy task and the last thing you want to do is mess up an $80 piece of material like that. I've done my own before and trust me, its a pain.
Front, back, and both side windows have to come out in order to do it correctly!
I'd also recommend waiting till summer time to get it and have it installed.
