What happened to Fords 7.3 litre powerstroke diesel engine ?
they dont make them anymore ... why did ford get rid of them ?
It was a fantastic engine. The engine was not able to be developed to satisfy today's emissions and power requirements. They keep jacking up horsepower every year on these things, and they have to be redesigned. The powerstroke started out about 200hp, but now they have over 300.
