My 1998 Eclipse Spyder's convertible top leaks from the top corner, is there any solution to this??
The leaks come from the top of the A-Pillar in the car right where the top connects to the frame, its not a seal problem, but it seems that the leak it coming from water running down the top and under the lip of it. It soaks my driver and passenger seats and i'm afraid that it is going to stain my seats and possibly short out my power windows and locks. Any suggestions or possible fixes would be awesome.
you said its not a seal problem, but after time and pressure seals colapse, they still look ok but you will notice they conform to the shape of the item it joins. my best advice to you would be to get a front main seal and right front convertible top seal, you might have to buy the convertible top seal in a complete kit but the front main seal you should be able to buy separate, even if the seal is sealing where it meets the roof it can leak behind the seal. the main seal shouldn't be more then 200.00. that money could save you from spending 1000s later on electrical, switches, discolored interior and even rust damage later
