Mercury Sable EGR Problems?
I recently replaced my egr valve because my check engine light came on. I had it reset and it came on again. I took it to the auto parts store, they said it was probably dpfe sensor that went bad. So I asked him if i could remove the new egr valve and get my money back and put the old one back on. He said no. So my question is, can I use the old egr valve with the new dpfe sensor? The Sable has 120,000 miles on it by the way, and its a 2000.
yes but why would you take the new EGR valve off your DPFE might be covered under a B type recall you should of taken it to your dealer. this happens alot i once had a person ask us (dealer) to refund the money he had spent trying to fix the P0401 code by himself siad he spent like 400 we just laughed
