What should I do about a mass air flow sensor?
I have a 2005 Nissan Sentra 1.8 and the mass air flow sensor came up the other day so I took it into the shop and they determined its the mass air flow sensor so they have to order it and it won't be in till next week.So drove the car around with the code on and now the code came off.....What the heck should I do? Is it working or not working and should I drop the $250+
Give it a few days, if it is fine you may be lucky but if it keeps coming up best to change it or it could cause engine trouble by running rich or lean and cost you reliability and a lot more money! If you are looking to sell soon it may lose you more than the cost of the sensor too so probably best to just do it.
