Is making us pay for supermarket plastic bags another way of raising tax?
Many use these (at present free) bags to line our rubbish bins. No free bag, we must pay for bin liners.
Are bin liners 'vattable'? Whatever, there is profit to be made on them and profits are taxable.
It is supposedly to reduce wastage, but what about the excess packaging on foods in the supermarkets? It would make more sense to drastically reduce this.
I strongly suspect that someone has sussed that we will have to start buying bin liners - which are plastic bags too - and they and their MP friends have invested in a bin liner factory and they are going to "mint it", get me?
