What metal would make the best armor?
I'm writing a futuristic war story and the soldiers in the story wear an armor that's going to consist of a quarter of an inch of metal encased in bullet proof material. What metal would be the best? As in weight wise and bullet protection? Aluminum, steel, titanium, or iron?
titanium has the highest highest strength to weight ratio
