How does my science experiment relate to a real world present day situation?

I performed a science experiment entitled "the effect of water volumes on the resonant frequency of vibrating wine glasses" which is basicaly how different amounts of water effect singing wine glasses...I'm done with my experiment, but i am writing a presentation in which i have to include how the science behind this experiment relates to the real world...for example the effect of salt concentration on seed germination, the real world relation would be how road salt polutes rivers and plants and acid rain ect ect...but i am having trouble finding a real world relation with the wine glass topic...and it must be scientific
NOO not how seed germination relates to the resonant frequency! grrrr! its not that hard...i was just giving the salt stuff as an example and its totally seperate! I JUST want to know how the resonance frequency deals with the real world, no other equation crap mark or watever ur name is..and im only in 8th grade so keep it simple

The various bits of science behind how this works are pretty complicated, but each one has some real world application. You might look into other forms of fluid containers where vibration is a concern, such as water towers and dams. In both cases the volume of water can have a dramatic impact on their resonant vibration.
