Your best bet is to file a claim with your insurance. There are a great many things that are incorporated into the design of that door that need to be perfect or the car(if the damage is bad enough ) can even have handling issues. The doors are part of the structural integrity of the car. when one doesn't fit anymore or if it was bent it may not itself be causing the problem but the hinges to the door are attached to the frame (AKA uni-body) and when the hinges get tweaked and pulled enough to bend the door they may have pulled the frame out of alignment. Now in an old beat up truck or car that might not be a big deal BUT we are talking about a 2008 Mustang. I am sure you car was in like new condition and I am sure that you would rather pay a deductible and get it fixed right and make sure it is right than some bubble gum and hot water fix.
