The system consists of two loops, sharing a common reservoir. Fluid is pulled from reservoir and then pumped to a heater, in this case an automotive windshield washer preheater, and then back in the reservoir. Temperature is monitored by a thermometer. When needed, another pump pumps water from the resivoir through a tube that goes around the scope. I'm trying to find two pumps that take a small diameter tubing (such that is used for washer fluid), however I'm not quite sure what to get. Do you have any suggestions? What kind of amps/voltage would be drawn from the pump?
Since you don't state the amount of water to be pumped in terms of gallons per minute (or hour) it is hard to answer.
I am assuming you only what a small amount of water. With that in mind, I would suggest you consider a small fountain pump similar to those used on decorative garden fountains. They come in sizes as small maybe 100 gph.
You can find them on the internet by putting in "pond and waterfall pumps" or "garden fountain pumps" or just "fountain pumps."
