removing super old tints?
how do you DIY your own OLD tint removal.
The adhessive is crazy. the tint film doesnt come off in a big piece anymore.it just cracks as u try to rip it off leaving a nasty adhessive.
any scraping tools i can use? and any cleaners? Thanks
I've use single edge window scrapers to get the bulk off.
The 2 inch wide blades.... and palm, switch blade like holders you get in the painting sections of the hardware store.
It's a tedious chore too!.........and really hard trying not to mess up the rear window defogger lines.
Most tinting Fluids used... in the application process..... are water based.
So........I'm not sure if it may be as easy as using dish washing detergent to get the glue off the glass..........Or if a stronger solvent like Aci-Tone (finger nail polish remover) will be needed to cut through the glue .
