EGR system on honda accord?

First person who can answer this with logic gets the points. I have traced my EGR system failure to the system that turns my EGR solonid on and off.

Let me break it down.

At some point while driving the computer completes the circuit to my EGR solonid.. In turn it allows the vaccum to pass through and open the ERG valve.

Both the EGR valve and Soloind are new. When I force a good voltage and a good ground to the solonid myself.. the system operates.

Here is the deal.. The pigtail connector that plugs into the solonid is just two wires. a 12V constant and a ground. the 12V is always there.. the solonid does not turn on until the ground is activated.. Something in my car is not finishing the ground.. and before you said there is a fault.. that is untrue. the ground only completes when the computer tells it to. maybe through a relay.. .. so what is keeping the ground from engaging when it is supposed to?

The ground switch for the egr solenoid is actually a solid state switch inside the computer. The engine control computer has full control of the grounding of the egr solenoid. Hope this helps. Christopher
