I have a '94 s-10 that is knocking at a fairly high speed 45-50 mph. Just wondering what might be causing this
Ive added 4 bottles of fuel injector cleaner into a half tank and still getting the knock. This also is happening when I'm going up hill and trying to maintain my speed 55-60. I've replaced the EGR valve over a year ago as well as the fuel injector kit. After replacing them it ran fine, but now a year or so later back to square one. Any input would be welcomed.

no odors, knock depends on how hard I press the gas pedal, the futher I push it the harded it gets, if I'm lite on the gas then the knock is lite.
If it's a deep knock, it's probably from a connecting rod and it's just a matter of time till it's thrown through the block. In that case, if you really love your truck, get the engine rebuilt now. If you don't think it's worth it, just drive it till it blows.
If the knock has a tinny sound and seems closer to the top of the engine, it's likely a valve or lifter. My S-10 did that. Get it checked out before it causes serious damage.
It could also be a carbon deposit on a piston top or a valve. They will usually just fall off and resolve themselves, but waiting for that to happen is risky.
