I'm looking at a 98 Oldsmobile Aurora?
I found a 98 Aurora I can buy for $900. It has 150k miles.
I've been without a car for a while, but now really need one.
It does have some problems I can live with, like the front doors don't open from the outside and the dash lights have to have the fuse removed when turned off so it won't drain the battery....but it runs good. It does run well.
I am a little concerned about the oil pan gasket...it does have a leak, not much, add a little oil about once a month, but I've heard that's a pretty big fix.
But a drivable car for $900....can it still be a good deal for me?
Nope.
Repairs are super expensive, especially with the 3.5L v6 and 4.0L v8.
You are already reaching on rationalizing this one with the problems it already has.
