My mileage gauge has never worked since I bought it (odometer..?). Today my speedometer crapped out. What is the recommended course of action to fix this?
And finally, where is the best place to buy auto parts for my truck? I need parts you can't really find at an autozone, like exterior trim, door hinges, etc.
There are some key differences between a D150 (1/2 ton)and a D250 (3/4 ton). Count how many lug nuts hold the wheel on. If the count is five you have a D150. If the count is 8 You have a D250 or 350.
Most Ram Chargers were D150 half tons.
This truck uses a speedometer cable. Find where it enters the transmission and unscrew it. You can pull the cable out. If it is broken you will have to loosen the other end at the speedometer and withdraw the other end. If it is not broken you will need a new speedo head from your local salvage yard. Most the parts for this truck are available a your local parts store. If you take the VIN and go to the Dealer, they can tell you everything about this truck, including engine size, etc.
