Engine Building 1967 383 Mopar/Dodge/Plymouth/Chrysler ???
Putting together a 67 383 bored.30 with TRW Dome Pistons/ with 452 heads... What size headgaskets will I need and what is the best cam and lifters for this engine to put it at 10:1 compression...
Any guidance will be greatly appreciated...
Start with the cam and lifters. You will need to talk to a tech at where you plan to buy your CAM to ensure you get what you want and it matches your setup. IE, if you are going with COMP, call their tech dept to order your cam. They will ask you expected compression ratio, engine size transmission type, rear-end and tire size and what type of driving you plan todo with your car.

You dont have all the information you need yet to calculate your real compression ratio.
You will need to measure how far your pistons are in the hole. This has to be accurate to the 1000'th of an inch.
You will also need to CC your heads and find out how much air they hold. Set them upside down and put stuff under them to make the flat part completely level. If they're air-tight, you can used 100CC syringe and baby oil to get a good estimate. Just add fluid to the chamber until it is level with the head.
You will need to know how much area the dome takes up. You should be able to find this on the TRW or Sealed Power website. (My TRW 440 pistons ended up being Sealed Power)

There are different thickness head gaskets. Start with .019 and go up from there.
