Camaro Windshield Rear

How do I get my rearview mirror to stay on?
I have a 98 camaro with 2 12 inch sub woofers in the back. When my music is on my rear-view mirror vibrates too much and after about 30 seconds the mirror completely falls off the windshield. The mirror has a small plastic bracket that slides over the metal piece on the windshield, but the mirror bracket doesn't look like it's big enough for the metal piece. The bracket only goes about 3/4 of the way on the metal piece and since it doesn't lock in place or anything so it slides off very easily. I'm not sure what to do about it. I haven't tried any glue or anything yet. But turning down my stereo isn't going to solve the problem, so don't suggest it, since I am going to be entering a car audio competition and I don't want the mirror to fall off in the middle of it. Thanks.

If your mirror does fall off in the middle of a comp., they should give you extra points!
If the button glued to the windshield is the original, it sounds like someone may have swapped the mirror out.
Either find an original (either on e-bay or maybe at a local pull-a-part place), and put it on (it should have a set screw to keep it from coming off), or get an aftermarket mirror set, and some adhesive, carefully pop the old button off, glue the new one on, and attach the new mirror.
