I've heard that a Danish farmer set fire to an area of land when he inadvertently ignited a cow's fart!
The animal was apparently ill, and as the farmer pushed his arm into the cow's rear, hw knocked over an oil lamp and the resultant 'flame thrower' effect burned down his barn and half his farm! Is this an urban myth, or is it in fact true? Who makes the tea for a week depends on the outcome!
This is a very,age old ,game played by men,methane gas is highly flamable.In the armed forces we used to do this to relieve the boredom,hardly any of us had any hairs on our backsides where things had gone wrong.Les paterson saves the world, was a film that had a scene where they do this on stage,its a hoot.The resultant flame is very sudden and very blue.WATCH YOUR FINGERS.
