zafira 2004 1.6 petrol...very small oil leak, not dripping at all, just a small trace of oil..?
as you look from front of car, its bottom left, just under the water pump belt and to the right a touch there is a silver thing with torx bolts and it looks like its coming from a bolt where there is a seal (what is this called and i wiped it dry, local driving, still dry, went on motorway 100 mile then just a tad of oil)...shall i spend hundreds that i aint got or just top up..its dropping on dipstick one little notch say every 6 months? doesnt drip when car is standing overnight, but seems after about 100 miles or so there is just a smigen of fresh oil coming from thats corner bolt, i have tightened it up but it wudnt tighten any more than it was...is it worth putting in oil stop leak stuff?...thx in advance..
Forget about it. Almost every car on the planet has some sort of small oil leak. If you loose a 1/2 quart ever 1000 miles, that's when you start looking at getting it repaired.
Don't use that stop leak stuff, it just gumms up all the internal oil passages, long term cause you more problems then it fixes.
