For my Blow Off Valve. Should I recirculate or vent out the pressured air?
I have a general idea on how this works but I wanted to know some of your opinions. Here are the specs on the car.
- I have a stand-alone fuel management system
- I am boosting 5 to 9 psi
I just saw an episode of "Tricked Out" on DYI Channel about this issue. The air (pressurised) is already meassured and the ECU is expecting that air to "stay in the system." So if you vent it, then ECU will be pumping too much fuel and may run rich and even foul-up the cat-coverter ($$$). In general any kind of leak (charge or vacuum) upsets the A/F ratio.
