90 chevy 350 pick up unstable idle?
1990 Chevrolet 4x4 pickup 350 V-8 automatic. Engine was tuned up thinking that this would fix this problem. The shop replaced the plugs, plug wires, Distributor Cap, Rotor, fuel filter & re-manufactured Distributor. EGR was replaced several months earlier. The truck does not idle. I replaced the Idle air control valve & cleaned the bore. test drove to reset the idle valve. After letting vehicle set I started the truck back up. Long crank time next day when it did start it idled up & down & almost stalled out after it continued to idle up & down close to stall it stalled out. I replaced the throttle body Assembly ( Fuel Injection unit) from a salvage yard. It still idles uncontrollably & I am pulling my hair out. Just for giggles I tried a new MAP sensor & it did not correct these problems. It seems to idle smooth only when the idle valve is unplugged electrically or the vacuum line is removed from the map sensor & plug. I could sure use some help with this truck please
There is a vacuum leak
The fuel pressure regulator is faulty
The engine control system is faulty
The fuel injectors are bad
Your fuel pump is worn out
