Where is the idle air control valve located on my 2005 nissan sentra 1.8l?
The idle is a jacked up I called the nissan dealership and they wanted $800 to fix it. I then called my friend who is head of service at another dealership and he said clean the iac valve.
(pictures along with a good description of where it is please)
I thought the little sensor connected with the two star headed screws was the mass air flow sensor.
your car doesn't have one. what you probably need is to have the "idle air volume learning procedure" done which sets the idle at the correct rpm. Problem is it can usually only be done at the dealer. but we usually don't charge $800 for it (more like $100)... and that is the maf sensor (with the star screws) , but it doesn't set your idle, the electronic throttle body does.. hope this helps
